Sequel books picks, packs and dispatches orders in order of receipt. We process orders every business day and most orders are sent as soon as we receive them. If your items are in stock, they will generally leave our warehouse within the following timeframe:

February to October: Allow up to 1– 5 business days
November to January: Orders are processed according to timelines listed on resource lists.

You will receive an email and an SMS from us advising your order has been shipped or that it is ready for collection.

Delivery timeframes

The following timeframes are a guide as to when your parcel should be delivered once they have been dispatched from our warehouse:

Brisbane: 2 – 5 business days
Regional QLD: 5 – 7 business days
Interstate: 7 – 15 business days

Most parcels are delivered within the earlier estimated timeframe. During December and January, it may take longer than indicated due to the high volume of parcels received by Australia Post.

Product Substitution

If an item is unavailable at the time of packing, the product may be substituted with a similar product of the same or greater value. This will only apply to stationery items and not books.

Back Ordered Items

From time to time due to events outside of our control, some items may be temporarily out of stock. Under these circumstances, we will advise you of the backorder on the tax invoice in your order. The item will be delivered to you as soon as it becomes available free of charge. An SMS and an email will be sent advising you when the item is on its way.

If the backorder is for an entire year level at a school, these will be delivered in bulk to the school and handed out during school. You will also receive a notification if this occurs.

Bulk Deliveries: Direct to School

Please note that some items such as tissues and copy paper are sent directly to the school in bulk and will not be packed with your order to avoid damage in transit as they are too large or awkward to pack into a standard book pack.


Claims for damaged or missing items will not be recognised after 30 days of the parcel being received. If you have received a damaged item or you are missing an item, please open a new dispute via the Resolution Center in the "My Account" menu.

SequelBooks will ensure that goods are prepared with a reasonable amount of packaging to ensure safe delivery. SequelBooks endeavors to provide cardboard packaging and recycled paper, or environmentally friendly foam or pellets that can safely be reused or recycled.


Our parcels are sent via Australia Post. You will receive an email/or SMS from SequelBooks once your order has been dispatched.

Tracking details will be provided in a separate email from Australia Post. You will also receive notifications via SMS and/or email updating you on the progress of your delivery.

If you have multiple orders they may be shipped at different times. This will be indicated by multiple tracking numbers.

Delivery Delays

Our team is working hard to dispatch orders as quick as possible and we will keep the customer updated if our timeframes are impacted.  If there are significant delivery delays (due to late publications or supplier delivery issues) a customer service representative from Sequel Books will contact you via email, phone, or SMS to let you know about the delay. Be sure to check your emails regularly.

Please note our freight carriers may experience delays in processing and delivering some parcels due to high volumes and/or weather events in their delivery network

Postage & Handling

Shipping on normal book & stationery item orders is $9.95, regardless of parcel size.

Booklist Shipping prices range from $9.95; however, it is subject to change depending on the location of your school.

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are intended for shipment within Australia.

Occasionally we have special postage discounts or offers. These will either automatically be applied or a code will need to be entered at checkout and may change without notice.
