Refund Policy for Website Sales:

At Sequel Books & Stationery, we aim to educate the future and we understand that there may be times when you need to return or exchange an item and we want to make the process as simple as possible. 

You can request a refund in the following circumstances:

• An item is faulty
• Change of mind within 30 days of receipt of goods (Change of mind orders where a refund is requested may incur an administration and restocking fee of 15%. This also applies if a product has been purchased unnecessarily).

 

Claims

Claims for damaged or missing items will not be recognised after 30 days of the parcel being received. If you have received a damaged item or you are missing an item, please open a new dispute via the Resolution Center in the "My Account" menu.

Returning Orders for Website Sales:

If you need to return an item that was purchased in error, please note that an administration and restocking fee of 15% will be deducted from your refund.

You need to return the item to us ensuring adequate packaging to avoid damage during transit. Once we have assessed the item you will receive a refund, less original postage (Outbound shipping fees from the original order are not refundable).

The refund will be processed via the same method that was used to pay. Please allow up to 10 business days for the funds to clear in your account. If you have not received your refund after 10 business days please email us at cs@sequelbooks.com

Please DO NOT refuse the parcel upon delivery. SequelBooks does not cover the return postage cost. It is up to the customer to cover the cost of returning an unwanted item. If you refuse the parcel, we will deduct the cost incurred to return the parcel from your refund. administration and restocking fee of 15%

The following requirements need to be satisfied for Sequel Books to be able to consider your return request for a refund, exchange or credit:

  • You return the item to our store within 30 days of purchase.
  • You produce your original tax invoice.
  • The item is in re-saleable condition including that: Products are to be returned in an undamaged, as-new condition (except where faulty) on its original packaging, unworn, unopened, and unused.

If the above requirements are not satisfied, Sequel Books reserves the right not to offer a refund

Please take caution with shrink-wrapped items – if you have removed the shrink wrap, we are not able to provide a refund or exchange due to a change of mind.

The following products are FIRM SALE items and NOT able to be returned (unless faulty). They are indicated on our website with an * at the end of the product name:

  • Digital products (including eBooks, see below for more details)
  • Technology products
  • Special Order or Custom Items
  • Firm Sale Items

Digital Resources:

Unfortunately, unless Consumer Law applies, change of mind returns or exchanges are not available for digital/electronic and downloadable resources, even if the item has not been downloaded or activated.

Please order these items carefully, making sure you’ve selected the correct resources for the correct subjects. 

Returns Policy for School Business Accounts:

All the above applies however the period for returns is extended to 12 weeks from the invoice date. No returns are available for Firm Sale goods, as indicated at the time of quote. 

How to Request a Refund for your School Business Account

Please email your account manager to request a Returns Authorisation. Please include the original invoice number and reasons for the return request. Returns will not be processed without a pre-approved RA. You can also email schools@sequelbooks.com
